Who We Are

Ningbo Jiangbei XinYe Metal Works Co., Ltd. — Your Trusted Manufacturing Partner Since 1996

Ningbo Jiangbei XinYe Metal Works Co., Ltd. was established in 1996 as an owner-managed SME corporation. Over the past 28 years, we have transitioned from a localized family business to a globally recognized custom metal fabrication supplier. Our company operates inside the Ningbo Jiangbei Industrial Zone, situated strategically within a 3-hour commute from Shanghai Pudong International Airport via China's high-speed rail network.

Today, our company covers 16,000 square meters of production floor, with an additional 11,000 square meters allocated for ongoing expansion. Out of our 130 highly specialized employees, 80 manage active floor production, while 50 are dedicated to product development, engineering, quality assurance, and global supply chain operations.

We are certified to both ISO 9001:2015 and SA8000 (Social Accountability) standards. This certification matrix ensures our global B2B clients receive consistent product quality, ethical labor compliance, and transparent operations.

Global Industrial Landscape of Lost Wax Casting

Detailed analysis of B2B procurement criteria, manufacturing processes, and technological trends shaping investment casting.

1. The Commercial and Industrial Role of Lost Wax Casting

Lost wax casting (historically termed investment casting) remains a critical manufacturing method for complex metal geometries. Unlike conventional sand casting or mechanical machining, lost wax casting produces parts with intricate details, thin walls, internal undercuts, and smooth surface finishes (typically Ra 3.2 to Ra 1.6 μm for silica sol castings). By melting away the wax pattern, manufacturers can cast high-melting-point alloys—including stainless steel, cobalt superalloys, carbon steels, and specialized aluminum alloys—without draft angles, minimizing the requirement for post-cast processing.

For B2B procurement departments in fields such as aerospace, oil and gas, safety infrastructure, and high-performance automotive, investment casting provides a balance of structural strength and design freedom. Components such as turbine blades, valve bodies, safety sensor housings, and transmission mounts require minimal secondary machining, reducing scrap metal rates and overall production costs.

2. Why Global Buyers Prefer China (Ningbo) Industrial Clusters

The global metal fabrication supply chain relies heavily on Chinese manufacturing clusters, particularly in Ningbo. This preference is driven by supply chain integration, technical expertise, and cost efficiencies:

  • Integrated Metallurgical Ecosystem: Ningbo hosts a concentration of raw material processors, specialized mold designers, heat treatment facilities, surface finishing providers, and testing laboratories. This cluster reduces transport costs and raw material lead times.
  • Deep-Water Shipping Infrastructure: Access to the Port of Ningbo-Zhoushan, one of the world's busiest container ports, allows for direct shipping routes to European, North American, and Asian ports, reducing transit times and logistics costs.
  • Advanced Technical Capability: Companies like Ningbo Jiangbei XinYe Metal Works Co., Ltd. combine historical manufacturing experience with high-end machinery (often imported from Japan) and coordinate measuring systems to meet strict engineering standards.

3. E-E-A-T Technical Parameters for Lost Wax Casting

Procuring investment castings requires a clear understanding of process tolerances and technical criteria. At XinYe, we maintain standard tolerances according to the international ISO 8062 SF (investment casting) standard (typically CT4 to CT6 for silica sol castings). Our engineering team advises buyers to consider the following parameters when drafting an RFQ:

  • Alloy Selection: Different alloys display varied shrinkage rates. Our material verification process utilizes a GNR Spectrum Analyzer to ensure incoming raw materials match specifications (e.g., Duplex Stainless Steel, 316L, 304, or ASTM A216 WCB).
  • Surface Roughness: While silica sol casting delivers smooth surface quality, post-cast finishing processes such as electropolishing, anodizing, sandblasting, and bead blasting can be customized to meet specific functional needs.
  • Internal Integrity: For high-stress applications (like fuel hydrant pits or aerospace brackets), internal porosity can cause structural failure. We control porosity through computer-modeled casting gating systems and non-destructive testing (NDT).

4. Future Trends: Digital Engineering, 3D Wax Printing, and Green Metallurgy

The investment casting sector is shifting toward digital manufacturing. Key changes include:

  • Additive Manufacturing Integration: Instead of building expensive hard tooling for prototype volumes, manufacturers use 3D-printed PMMA or wax patterns for rapid prototyping, reducing development times from weeks to days.
  • Advanced Solidification Modeling: Casting simulation software predicts shrinkage, gas entrapment, and thermal stress before mold pouring, minimizing tooling modifications and scrap rates.
  • Environmental Compliance: Global buyers require transparency regarding social responsibility. Our SA8000 compliance ensures a safe, fair, and legally compliant workplace, which helps buyers align with corporate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) mandates.

Technical & Procurement FAQ

Expert answers to common questions regarding lead times, tolerances, materials, and custom metal fabrication.

What are your prices for custom investment castings?
Our pricing is calculated based on raw material costs, part complexity, volume, and required secondary processing. Because market costs change, we provide custom quotes for each RFQ. Contact our team to receive a detailed quotation.
Do you enforce a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
Yes, we require minimum order quantities for international production batches to cover setup costs. However, we support prototype development and initial tooling trials. Contact our sales department to discuss your project requirements.
What quality documentation do you supply with shipments?
We provide material certificates, inspection reports (including CMM dimension sheets), and certificates of analysis/conformance. Additional testing reports (e.g., non-destructive testing, hardness testing) can be provided upon request.
What is your typical production lead time?
Sample production typically takes around 7 days after drawing confirmation. Mass production is completed within 20 to 30 days of receiving the deposit payment. Lead times are calculated from the point of final drawing approval.
What payment methods do you accept?
Our standard payment terms are a 30% deposit in advance via bank wire transfer, with the remaining 70% balance paid against the copy of the Bill of Lading (B/L). We also accept Western Union and PayPal for sample orders.
How does your factory manage export packaging?
We package components in high-durability wooden crates with internal bubble wrap and moisture barrier bags. For surface-sensitive parts, we use custom cellular trays to prevent metal-on-metal contact during transport.
